ABOUT BRIAN
Brian Spitz, a professional golfer and South Shore native, grew up in Norwell, MA, and currently resides in Weymouth, MA. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Turfgrass Management from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Georgia and a Business Management Degree from Valdosta State University, where he achieved All-American Honors and served as Captain of the Men’s Golf Team.
Brian's passion for golf led him to pursue a professional playing career and later transition into the business side of the sport in 1993. Over the years, he has honed his skills as a professional golfer, teacher, and player, working within the Metropolitan Section for five years. Since 2000, Brian has been actively involved in the New England Section, contributing to the golf community at various clubs including Plymouth CC, Black Rock CC, CityGolf Boston, Golfsmith, GolfTEC, and Velocity Golf Academy at Harmon Golf. He earned membership in the PGA of America in 2002 and was recognized as the NEPGA Assistant Golf Professional Player of the Year in 2000.
Brian's competitive achievements include participating in six PGA National Championships, A US Senior Open, an Assistant National Championship, winning numerous NEPGA events, setting two course records, scoring three hole-in-ones, and an Albatross. With a wealth of experience and a deep love for the game, Brian enjoys sharing his knowledge and expertise to help others excel in golf.
Currently, Brian offers his coaching and teaching services with Velocity Golf at Harmon Golf in Rockland, MA.
